Obituaries Maureen A. Morgan Mrs. Morgan, 75, of Tinton Falls, died Sept. 6, 2007, at Regency Park, Hazlet. She resided in Woodlawn, and Brewster, N.Y., prior to relocating to Tinton Falls. She was an administrative assistant for several years at New York Medical College, Valhalla, retiring in 1994. She is survived by her husband, James P. Morgan; three sons and two daughters-in-law, John R. and Kathy Brunner of Nesconsett, N.Y., Thomas W. and Maureen Brunner of Middletown, and James Morgan of New Rochelle, N.Y.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Chris Daly of Basking Ridge, and Margaret and Bill Schuyler of Stanfordville, N.Y.; a brother, Frank Dougherty of Florida; a sister Margaret Fitzsimmons of Brielle; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Interment was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. Box 780, New York City, NY 10008-0780. Ronald H. Brady Mr. Brady, 72, of Middletown, died Sept. 8, 2007. Born in Jersey City, he resided there before relocating to Middletown 50 years ago. He was employed in the Sanitation Department at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, for 16 years. Mr. Brady was a communicant of St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. He was predeceased by three sisters, Margaret Curnyn, Winiford Caruso and Mary McManus; and a brother, Robert Brady. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Shambley Brady; four sons, Ron Brady Jr., Phillip Brady, Paul Brady and Tim Brady, all of Middletown; a daughter, Allison Brady of Middletown; and a sister, Florence Brady of Middletown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine's Church. Arrangements are by Day Funeral Home, Keyport. John "Jack" Harkenreader Mr. Harkenreader, 58, of the Leonardo section of Middletown, died Sept. 9, 2007, at home. Born in Carbondale, Pa., he resided in Hazlet and Old Bridge prior to relocating to Leonardo 32 years ago. He was a driver and mechanic at Loori Bus Company, North Middletown, for 22 years. Prior to that, he was a chemist at Union Carbide, Keasby, for 17 years. He served with the U.S. Army stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of Harmony Bowling Club, Middletown. He was predeceased by his father, Paul Harkenreader; and his stepfather, Mathew Frier. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ince Harkenreader; his mother, Jean Frier of Winson, Conn.; a daughter, Dawn Harkenreader of Middletown; and two brothers, Evan Williams of Huntingdon, Pa., and David Frier of South Winson, Conn. Visitation will be Sept. 12 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. A funeral service will be Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Robert K. Launhardt Mr. Launhardt, 82, of Middletown, died Sept. 10, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Rahway, he resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge, prior to relocating to Middletown in 1948. He was co-owner of Ferdon Equipment, Hillside and Union. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an avid hunter, and member of the NRA. He was predeceased by his wife, Frieda Lebers Launhardt in 2001. He is survived by two daughters, Anna DeSantis of Brick, and Diane Fahey of Woodbine; a son and daughter in-law, Arthur and Elizabeth Heitzenroder of Farmingdale; a brother and sister-in-law, Gus and Elsie Launhardt of New York; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three greatgreat grandchildren. Visitation will be Sept. 12 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral service will be Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by entombment at Holmdel Mausoleum. John "Jack" Allen Hurlbert Mr. Hurlbert, 84, of Freehold Township, died Aug. 16, 2007, at Pine Brook Care Center, Manalapan. He and his family had lived in Helmetta during the Great Depression, and he was a graduate of Jamesburg High School. Mr. Hurlbert enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1943, serving as a lieutenant junior grade aboard the USS Kershaw and USS Crockett, transporting U.S. Marines to many landings in the Asiatic-Pacific area. On April 1, 1945, he participated in the demonstration assault landing on the southeastern beaches of Okinawa Jima, Ryukyu Retto, Japan. In 1945, he became a member of the Order of the Golden Dragon after crossing the International Date Line. Also in 1945 he crossed the equator. He was honorably discharged in 1946. A graduate of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, Mr. Hurlbert earned a bachelor of science degree in economics in 1947 and a master of business administration degree in finance in 1953. He began his banking career with Chase National Bank in New York City in 1947 and became a country banker with Central National Bank in 1948. He retired in 1987 from First Fidelity Bank, where he was vice president since 1969. He was a longtime member of First Church of Christ Scientist, Freehold and Keyport, serving as first reader, treasurer and clerk. Mr. Hurlbert was past president of and an instructor for the American Institute of Banking's Monmouth chapter, past president and trustee of the Monmouth County Bankers and the Clearing House Association, charter treasurer of the Freehold Jaycees, former committeeman for the Battleground District of Monmouth Council Boy Scouts of America, charter vice president of the Battleground Arts Center, member of the Monmouth County Board of Agriculture, a 50- year master mason of the Free and Accepted Masons, Olive Branch No. 16, a member and Paul Harris Fellow of the Freehold Rotary Club, charter treasurer of the Keyport Historical Society, and past president of both the Keyport Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club of Keyport. He was also a member of the Battleground Historical Society, the Rutgers Alumni Association and the Rutgers Oral History Archives. Surviving are his wife, Betty Jane Erickson Hurlbert; his mother-inlaw, Teressa C. Erickson; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth M. Walling, of Keyport; and many cousins. A memorial service was held at First Church of Christ Scientist, Freehold, with Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, in charge of arrangements. Ivanchukov Mr. Ivanchukov, 47, of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., died Aug. 29, 2007, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Neptune Township, he was raised in Howell and graduated from Howell High School. While at Howell High School, he became nationally recognized as a rising soccer star and high school All-American. He then played for the U.S. National Soccer Team, traveling all over the world as part of Team America. Mr. Ivanchukov became the first high-schooler ever to be drafted in the North American Soccer League, first by the Tampa Bay Rowdies and later by the San Jose Earthquakes. A graduate of DeVry Technical Institute in New Jersey, he majored in computer robotics and traveled extensively throughout the U.S., working closely with many major worldwide pharmaceutical corporations in operations and as a consultant. He was predeceased by his mother, Katia Ivanchukov, in 2002. Surviving are a son and a daughter, Saran Ivanchukov and Katia Ivanchukov, both of Manahawkin; his father, Saran Ivanchukov of Howell; a sister, Nogan Spitzer of Freehold; and two brothers, Khyen Ivanchukov of Middletown, N.Y., and Mandje Ivanchukov of Howell. A funeral service was held at the Rashi-Lhunpo Buddhist Temple, Howell, followed by interment at St. Vladimir's Cemetery, Jackson. The Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, was in charge of arrangements.
