Fall FISH programs slated to begin Sept. 15 The New Jersey Marine Sciences Consortium (NJMSC), Fort Hancock, Sandy Hook, will begin its fall Families Investigate Science Hands-on (FISH) program Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. with "On Sandy Shores." The programs suitable for children in grades K-12 and families use Sandy Hook beaches and the bay as coastal classrooms and offer a variety of activities. The remaining programs will be "Terrific Terrapins" Sept. 22 at 1:30 p.m., and Oct. 7 at 11 a.m.; "Salt Marsh Investigations" Sept. 23 at 11 a.m., and Oct. 7 at 1:30 p.m.; "Incredible Crustaceans" Sept. 29 at 11 a.m.; and "Lenape and the Jersey Shore" Sept. 29 at 1:30 p.m. Each program runs approximately two hours. Cost is $7.50 for children and adults, and free for children younger than age 3. Families may participate in one or more of the programs, and preregistration is strongly suggested.
