Hazlet Recreation to hold classes, Hazlet Day Hazlet Recreation is sponsoring "Me Without Mommy" for 3-year-olds Sept. 17. The 10-week program will be offered Mondays from 9:30-11 a.m. Cost is $75, and a birth certificate is required. Gymnastics for girls and boys will be offered for 16 lessons beginning Sept. 24 at Cove Road School, Hazlet. One hour lessons will be given for girls and boys age 5-8 at 5:40 p.m., girls only age 5-8 at 6:50 p.m., and girls only age 9-14 at 8 p.m. Cost is $58, with a $15 late fee after Sept. 21. All the above are at Cullen Center, 1776 Union Ave., unless otherwise noted. The annual Hazlet Day festival will be Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, Union Avenue (rain date Sept. 23). The free event will feature entertainment, rides, game trailers, and various foods, crafts and merchandise. Willie Lynch will give a free concert at 4 p.m. Volunteers are needed for the event.
