Holmdel Half Century Club to meet Oct. 2

The Holmdel Half Century Club will hold its next meeting Oct. 2 at noon. A nurse will be available, the nominating committee will give its preliminary report, and Kathy Logan will report on the club's plans for Holmdel Community Day.

Drop-in day will be Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by line dancing from 2- 3 p.m.

"Antoinette's Cooking Class" will be Oct. 10 at 11:15 a.m. and feature butternut squash. Payment is $5 in advance.

The club will have a table at Holmdel Community Day Oct. 15 from 2-8 p.m. at Cross Farm.

The club's regular meeting will be Oct. 16 at noon with Holmdel Superintendent of Schools Barbara Duncan as guest.

A trip to see The Shirelles at Caesar's, Atlantic City, will be Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Cost is $46 for transportation, $20 cash return and $5 food credit. The show at 3:30 p.m.

Holmdel Community dinner-dance will be Oct. 19 from 7 p.m. to midnight at Lakeside Manor. Cost is $75 per person.

A trip to Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack will be Oct. 23 from 9:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cost is $36 for transportation, a $20 e-Play card and buffet.

A social night will be Oct. 26 from 6:30- 11 p.m. Cost is $17 for a dinner and music. Attendees may bring nonalcoholic beverages.
