Programs for youngsters slated at Poricy Park

Poricy Park, Oak Hill Road, Middletown, will present the following programs:

"Animal Masks" for children age 4 through fifth grade will be held Oct. 22, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Registration deadline is Oct. 19. Attendees will create an animal mask. The event will also feature games and activities. The cost is $15 for nonmembers and $10 for members.

Mini camps for children in grades one through five will be held Nov. 8 and 9 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-2:30 p.m. Attendees should bring a bag lunch if attending both sessions. Cost is $100 for nonmembers and $70 for members for all four classes, and $28 and $20, respectively, for each individual class. Maximum size of each class is 12 children. The mini camps are:

"Starry Creatures" will be held Nov. 8, for grades one and two in the morning, and for grades three through five in the afternoon. It will include games and a craft activity.

"Penguin Party" will be held Nov. 8, for grades three through five in the morning, and grades one and two in the afternoon. It will feature a take-home craft.

"Hide-A-Way" will be held Nov. 9. Grades one and two will meet in the morning, and three through five in the afternoon. Children will find what residents of the park take to hidden places, and make a craft.

"Carnival of the Animals" will be held Nov. 9, for children in grades three through five in the morning, and grades one and two in the afternoon. It will feature farm animals in the movies, video games, virtual pets and other activities.

The park's holiday shop featuring hand-crafted gifts will open Nov. 23.
