Holmdel Community Church bazaar Oct. 20

Holmdel Community Church, 40 Main St., will hold a country bazaar and trash and treasure sale Oct. 20 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

The event will feature foods such as pies, homemade jams and jellies, pickles, and soups. Hot lunch will also be available. Crafts offered include wall hangings, tableware and tree ornaments. The trash and treasure section will feature household items, jewelry, sporting equipment, toys, books, records and kitchenware.

The church's bike-a-thon will be Nov. 3, with registration from 9-9:30 a.m. The 25- mile route will travel through Colts Neck, Holmdel, Tinton Falls and Lincroft. Children will be transported to and from Dorbrook Park, Colts Neck, for a safe and fun ride. Lunch will be served following the ride. Proceeds benefit St. Mark's soup kitchen and the Bridges program.

Sorting of clothing for the Bridges program will be Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. The next trip to distribute food and clothing to the homeless in New York City will be Oct. 26. Brown bag lunches are also needed.
