Billie S. Lahm

Mrs. Lahm, 83, of Tuckerton, died Oct. 13, 2007, at Seacrest Village, Little Egg Harbor. Born in Brownsville, Tenn., she resided in Middletown prior to relocating to Tuckerton three years ago. She was a retired bookkeeper at Food Circus, Middletown, where she was employed several years. She worked in Dependents Benefits for the U.S. War Department during World War II. She was a member of St. Mary Perpetual Adorers, New Monmouth section of Middletown. She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Sue Lahm in 2007. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert J. Lahm; a daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and William Downs of Matawan; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert J. and Jacqueline Lahm Jr. of Waretown, and William P. Lahm of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters, Donna Proft of St. Paul, Minn., and Suzette Hopper of Union City, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. Visitation will be Oct. 17 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral liturgy will be Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Central New Jersey Chapter, 12 Roszel Road, Princeton 08540.
