Robert "Bob" Van Fechtmann Mr. Van Fechtmann, 77, of Hazlet, died Oct. 1, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed the Yankees. He as predeceased by his wife, "Dolly," 18 years ago. He is survived by seven children, Billy, Bobby, Peggy, John, Thomas, Jean and Edward; a brother, Richard Van Fechtmann of Worcester, Mass.; a son-in-law, Frank; six daughters-in-law, and 17 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Interment was at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
