Mary T. Longette Sakowski

Mrs. Sakowski, 88, of Matawan, died Oct. 5, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Matawan, she was a lifelong resident. She was a retired seamstress at Fliss Sewing Factory, Matawan. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Sakowski in 2001; a brother, Nicholas Longette; and a sister, Josephine Artelli. She is survived by a son, Joseph Sakowski of Matawan; a daughter, Anne Sakowski Jeleniewski of Ridgewood; two sisters, Rachel Ammaturo of Toms River, and Margaret Leonetti of Bridgewater; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, with entombment at the church's cemetery. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
