Frank A. Klawunn

Mr. Klawunn, 84, of Middletown, died Oct. 6, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Elizabeth, he resided in Linden prior to relocating to Middletown three months ago. He was a clerk at A&P supermarkets at various locations for 42 years, retiring in 1983. He served with the U.S. Marines during World War II. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1583, Union, and the China Marines Organization. He was an Eagle Scout. He was predeceased by a brother, Norman Klawunn, in 2006; and a son-in-law, James Conner, in 2007. He is survive by his wife, Ann Sepela Klawunn; a daughter, Nancy Conner of Kernersville, N.C.; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Gail Klawunn of Stillwater, Okla.; a brother, Edward Klawunn of California; two grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. Entombment was at Woodbridge Memorial Park. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
