Francis P. Scaliti

Mr. Scaliti, 75, of Middletown, died Oct. 11, 2007, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided there before relocating to Middletown 35 years ago. He was chief auditor at Royal Bank of Canada, New York City, for 35 years, retiring in 1987. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown, where he served as a lector. He played softball with the St. Leo Holy Name Society, Lincroft section of Middletown, for 30 years. Mr. Scaliti is survived by his wife, Eileen; three sons, John of Westfield, Mark of Middletown and Matthew of New Brunswick; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Mark Grewe of Shrewsbury, Coryn and Charles Henry of Hopewell, and Nadine and Ron Jackman of Hazlet; 11 grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and a brother-in-law. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Mary's Church. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Church Building Fund, 26 Leonardville Road, New Monmouth 07748- 2338.
