Douglas T. Smialowicz Mr. Smialowicz, 47, of Hazlet, died Oct. 11, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Rahway, he resided in Highbridge and Matawan before relocating to Hazlet 10 years ago. He was a machinist at Day Tool Manufacturing, Whitehouse, for 10 years. He was a parishioner of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Laurence Harbor, where he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Elizabeth Ondreski Smialowicz. He is survived by his wife, Colleen O'Connell Smialowicz; a son, Joseph Smialowicz, and a daughter, Kristen Smialowicz, both at home; a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Ronald Wentz of East Brunswick; a brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Carole Smialowicz of Piscataway; his mother-in-law, Ellen O'Connell; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Lawrence Church. Interment was at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
