Bike-a-thon at Holmdel church slated for Nov. 3 Holmdel Community Church, 40 Main St., Holmdel, will hold a bike-a-thon Nov. 3 beginning and ending at the church. Registration will be from 9-9:30 a.m. There will be a 20-mile scenic route through Colts Neck, Holmdel, Tinton Falls and Lincroft, or a shorter route on the bike trails of the Monmouth County Parks. There will also be a children's ride. A lunch will follow the ride. Proceeds benefit St. Mark's Soup Kitchen and the Bridges program. A "Colonial Thanksgiving Service" will be Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. Several members and friends will dress in colonial attire, a drummer will drum attendees into worship, and a "tithing man" with a long stick will discipline unruly boys.
