Short was right to question Shadow Lake dredge plan
Patrick Short is correct in his questioning of the Shadow Lake dredging plan ("Shadow Lake vote dredges up animosity," Oct. 24). Middletown taxpayers finally have a voice in township matters. Whereas Shadow Lake may need the dredging, they are only experiencing - by Mr. Short's challenge - the fallout from past township fiscal waste and mismanagement, i.e., the Banfield multi-million dollar fiasco.

The cozy Republican crowd is finally being held accountable. The irresponsible Republican mentality has been around too long. Obviously Mr. Short's "boat rocking" is getting to the crowd. That is why they try to discredit Mr. Short whenever they can. For a newcomer, it didn't take Pamela Brightbill long to jump on the bandwagon. Keep up the good work Mr. Short.
