Franklin J. Kneller Sr.
Mr. Kneller, 82, of Middletown, died Oct. 27, 2007. He resided in Haiti, Thailand and Africa prior to relocating to Middletown. He was a vice president of international operations at Noxell Corporation, Baltimore, Md., retiring in 1990. Prior to that, he was employed at Colgate-Palmolive in Haiti, Thailand and Africa for 27 years. He served with the U.S. Army 101st Airborne during World War II, fought at Bastogne and was awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Middletown. He was a lifelong Mason, was a loyal son of Rutgers University and worked with Rutgers Oral History. He enjoyed travel and visited various places in South America, the Caribbean, and Africa. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Nancy L. Kneller in 2002. He is survived by two sons, Robert F. Kneller of Morris Township, and Franklin J. Kneller Jr. of Texas; two daughters, Susan N. Cota of Atlantic Highlands, and Thepin A. Fabiano of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown; and seven grandchildren. A memorial service will be Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. at Westminster Church. Entombment will follow at Fair View Mausoleum, Middletown. Arrangements are by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
