Charles R. Nelson Mr. Nelson, 81, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen, died Oct. 15, 2007, at Overlook Hospital, Summit. Born in Norfolk, Va., he resided in New York City prior to relocating to Cliffwood Beach 44 years ago. He was a machine operator at The New York Times, Edison. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Vincent Nelson; three daughters, Joanne Huegel of Brick, Nancy Nelson of Cliffwood Beach, and Debbie Nelson of Keansburg; a sister, Joyce Gardner of Atlanta; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Interment was at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
