'Fort Hancock Christmas in 1940s' under way
      Sandy Hook Unit of Gateway National Recreation Area will hold an open house, "Fort Hancock Christmas in the 1940s," Dec. 12, 15, 16, 19 and 26 from 1-5 p.m. History House on Officer's Row will be decorated for the event and tours of Fort Hancock will be given.

      180 Turning Lives Around, Hazlet, will offer a 10 week specialized domestic violence support group specifically for families affected by domestic violence beginning in January. The confidential groups provide support, education, legal options, and appropriate resources for parents and children.

Hazlet Recreation offices closed Dec. 24-Jan. 1
      Hazlet Recreation Commission, James J. Cullen Center, 1776 Union Ave., has announced its office will be closed Dec. 24-Jan. 1. The commission is offering cardiokickboxing for 16 lessons, Mondays and Wednesdays from 7-8 p.m. beginning Jan. 7. Cost is $77, with a $15 late fee after Jan. 4.
