Walter D. Sumner

Mr. Sumner, 83, of Middletown, died Nov. 28, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Syracuse, N.Y., he resided in Old Bridge prior to relocating to Middletown two years ago. He was a retired industrial arts teacher at Ethical Culture School, New York City. He was a member of Beth Horon Masonic Lodge, Brookline, Mass. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice Sumner in 2003. He sis survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Ann and Kevin Condon of Hazlet, and Carol Sumner of Belmont, Mass.; and two grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Trinity Episcopal Church, Matawan. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to Susan G.
