George C. Sprague Mr. Sprague, 67, of Keyport, died Dec. 2, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Newark, he resided in Keansburg prior to relocating to Keyport 17 years ago. He was an animal control officer at the Associated Humane Society, Tinton Falls, for 30 years, retiring in 2001. Following retirement, he was currently a crossing guard for the Borough of Keyport. He was a life member of Newark Historical Fire Association, and member of Liberty Hose Company No. 3, Keyport, and Keyport First Aid. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris in 1992. He is survived by a sister and brother-inlaw, Adelaide and Timothy McEntee of Allentown, Pa.; two nieces; a nephew; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Entombment was at Green Grove Mausoleum, Keyport. Arrangements were by Bedle Funeral Home, Keyport.
