Park System graduates 25th Park Ranger class The Monmouth County Park System celebrated the graduation of 14 Rangers from its 25th County Park Ranger Basic Course in late November. The graduation was attended by county officials and Park System staff. Training included radio procedures, missing person searches, First Aid and CPR. It consisted of classroom and hands-on instruction in the parks as well as an intense week at the Police Academy learning law enforcement concepts. Edward Hughes Jr., County Park Ranger, Turkey Swamp Park, Freehold Township, was the recipient of the Golden Oak Award for the highest GPA in the class. The Silver Oak Award for the second highest GPA went to Daniel C. Buecher, County Park Ranger, Manasquan reservoir. Other members of the graduating class included: Daniel R. Bisti and Russell B. Finkelson, County Park Rangers, Dorbrook Recreation Area, Colts Neck; Timothy Butner and Marcia Floden, County Park Rangers, Tatum Park, Middletown; Domenick A. DeSimone and William C. Kampe, County Park Rangers, Bayshore Waterfront Park, Middletown; Michael Janoski, County Park Manager, Turkey Swamp Park; Rose M. Lang and Wayne T. Ossner, County Park Rangers, Holmdel Park; Alvin Lopez and William J. Vaughn, County Park Rangers, Thompson Park, Middletown; and Erik Morton, County Park Ranger, Hartshorne Woods Park, Locust section of Middletown.
