Semifinals of 'Rock'n Music Idol' begin Jan. 26

The semi-finals of Rock'n Music Academy's "Rock'n Music Idol 2007-08" will begin Jan. 26 at the academy at 500 Route 356 south, Middletown. The competition is for youth age 7-17. Guitar and bass will be Jan. 26, drum and keyboard/piano Feb. 2, vocal Feb. 9, and vocal/instrument Feb. 10. All competitions will be at 1 p.m.

"Music Idol" follows an audition process where contestants are judged by professional musicians based on style, technique and originality. Winners will write and record a professional song, do a professional photo shoot, and gain full press coverage.
