William Kimbrel Jr.
Mr. Kimbrel, 55, of Davenport, Fla., died Nov. 9, 2007, while visiting friends in Doha, Qatar. He was born in Yokohama, Japan. He was a senior Fulbright scholar, and taught for more than 20 years throughout the United States, easternMediterranean and theMiddle East. At the time of his death, he was going to be appointed at Virginia Commonwealth University Doha Campus, Qatar. He served with the U.S. Army Medical Corps during the Vietnam era, 1971-74. He was an ordained deacon in the Anglican Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Nikki" Dominique Lloyd-Kimbrel of South Hadley, Fla.; two sisters, Wanda Lee Kimbrel and Dianna Lynn Kimbrel; two brothers, Charles StevenKimbrel and Paul Grover Kimbrel; his father-in-law, F. Howard Lloyd Jr. of Matawan; a sister-in-law, Deborah Lloyd of Matawan; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held at Evergreen Cemetery, Davenport, Fla.Amemorial service inMassachusetts will be held at a later date.
