Baby-sitting, 'Home Alone' courses offered

The nonprofitMatawan Student Enrichment Program (MSEP) has added two new courses, "Home Alone: The Workshop" and "Be a Better Babysitter," both taught by Maggie Powell. Classes begin Feb. 9.

"Home Alone" may be attended by the student and parent for the same registration fee; the program explores topics such as home security, phone use, safety and first aid. The class is for students who are or will soon be home alone.

The baby-sitter course is designed to help sitters learn first aid and pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and how to respond to emergencies and provide ageappropriate care and play opportunities. The class is for students age 11 and older.

For tuition, class locations, dates and times, call (732) 566-7900.
