Lawrence Leslie Vanaman Mr. Vanaman, 54, of Middletown, died Jan. 7, 2008, at home. Born in Long Branch, he resided in North Carolina prior to relocating to Middletown 12 years ago. He was a custodian at BayshoreMiddle School, Leonardo section of Middletown, retiring two years ago. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps for 14 years. He is survived by his wife, Merlyn Bergancia Vanaman; a daughter, Susan Gibson of Vernon; a son, Richard Vanaman ofMontclair; his mother, Theresa Stockwell of North Middletown; and five brothers. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
