• Buy a Net, Save a Life, Malaria affects 500 million Africans each year, killing more than one million children and adults. The simple act of putting up insecticide-treated bed netting can protect an entire family from malaria, but even though a net costs only $10, the cost is out of the reach for many African families. Individuals can help by donating to the Nothing But Nets program. The Social Action Committee of Temple Shalom will be accepting donations for the organization through the month of February. Contact the temple office at (732) 566-2621 to donate.
