Call for EyeSights 2008 The call for submittals is open for EyeSights 2008, the fifth annual Open Juried Photography Show and Exhibit presented by the Guild of CreativeArt in Shrewsbury. This year's expanded competition will award prizes in color and black & white categories and is open to both members and nonmembers. The prospectus is available by PDF download at: www.guildofcreativeart.com or in person at the guild, 620 Broad St., Shrewsbury. The distinguished juror for EyeSights 2008 isMitchell Seidel, photography columnist for the Star Ledger newspaper and NJ.com. EyeSights 2008 opens to the public Sunday, March 2. The opening reception and awards ceremony is scheduled from 3-5 p.m.All are invited to celebrate the diversity and talent of the participants and applaud this year's prize winners. Prizes and awards including Best in Show will be presented at approximately 4 p.m. Balloting by the public for the Peoples Choice Award will continue through the exhibit and sale closing date April 2. The Guild of Creative Art is the oldest and largest art community of its kind in the state. Demonstrations, workshops, lectures and classes in a variety of media are taught by experienced teachers for both adults and children. Monthly gallery shows provide the public an opportunity to acquire the art of selected local and regional artists at affordable prices.
