A Process of Intention
'AProcess of Intention: Artists and the Methods to their Creation," currently at Frederick Galleries inAllenhurst, is an exhibition of works by nine artists working with recurring themes and diverse materials.

"Bayside Illusion" by Jennie Meares
The conventional elements of ground and the material qualities of oil, watercolor, wax, pastel, acrylic, ink, film, graphite and emulsions inspire the subject matter, and the subject matter inspires the technique.

Exhibiting artists are Kathy Buist, Pat Butynski, Lisa Lebofsky, Jennie A. Meares, Eleanor Grace Miller, Vincent J. Nardone, Robert Pillsbury, Susan McLean and Sue T. Oliver.

The exhibition evolved from the gallery's dual mission to support theMonmouthMuseum and showcase the gallery's represented artists and their unique works of art.

Six artists are donating themed chairs in support of the museum's fundraiser, "CHAIRISH the Museum," a benefit and silent auction with proceeds benefiting the museum's educational programs.

The chairs will be on display at Frederick Galleries in Allenhurst and Spring Lake through Feb. 14. Bidding will culminate with the final auction on Friday, Feb. 15, 6-7 p.m. at the Monmouth Museum.

"A Process of Intention" runs through Feb. 23 at Frederick Galleries, located at 111 Main St. in Allenhurst. For more information about the exhibit, visit www.frederickgalleries.com.
