'Overture' original quilts at library
Innovative design, vivid colors and fine hand craftsmanship converge in an exhibit of original quilts created by members of Rebecca's Reel Quilters currently on display at Middletown Main Library.

"Raffle"
Showcasing two dozen exuberant quilts by 21 talented quilters from the Monmouth/Ocean area, "Overture, an exhibit of fine hand-crafted original quilts," is a dazzling exhibit featuring an eclectic display of traditional quilts mixed with the exotic. The quilt exhibit

opened Feb. 1 and runs through Feb. 24, with an opening reception on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 2-4 p.m.

Quilters represented in the exhibit include area residents Barbara Anderson, Julie Blieckardt, Janice Byrne, Nance Cruickshank, Mary Ann Devine, Phyliss Garnant, Debby Green, June Johnson, Ruth Mount, and Libby Schoenewolf. Rebecca's Reel Quilters meets once each month at Poricy Park Nature Center, 345 Oak Hill Road, Middletown.

A quilt from the display will be raffled to benefit the Poricy Park Nature Center. Rebecca's Reel Quilters meets once each month at Poricy.
