Countrymusic stars TrishaYearwood and Lori McKenna will perform at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank Thursday, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m.Yearwood's treatment of songs like "She's in Love with the Boy" has helped define contemporary country music. Singer/songwriter McKenna, whose debut CD won Album of the Year at the 2007 Annual Boston Music Awards, will open for Yearwood. The Joyful Noise Cafe jazz series continues with the band XL on Friday, Feb. 29, 7-11 p.m. XL's sound draws on contemporary jazz,R&Band funk.Admission: $30 couples, $20 solo, includes refreshment buffet. Diney's Place, home of the Children's Cultural Center in Red Bank, a branch of The Community YMCA, will host a juried

community art show on Sunday, March 2, 1-5 p.m. Visual artist Lawrence Cappiello will be the juror. Proceeds from the event will support financial scholarships for children and families to participate in Y Arts programs. Artists 18 and older are needed in all fine arts media. The New Jersey Chamber Singers will performtwo concerts, Saturday,March 1, at 4 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 65 W. Front St., Red Bank, and Sunday,March 2, at 3 p.m. at St. Bonaventure, 103 Washington Ave., Lavalette. "When Spring Is Born" will feature four groups of pieces: songs fromafar; songs of life, hope and love; songs of night; and songs of fun. Comedian Jim Breuer will perform at Monmouth University Feb. 29 as part of his nationwide "Breuniversity Tour." Breuer is host of his own daily radio show, "Breuer Unleashed" on Sirius Satellite Radio, where he has interviewed legendary musicians, comedy greats and celebrities. For four years he was a castmember on "Saturday Night Live" and starred in his own hour Comedy Central special, "Jim Breuer: Hardcore." Over the Rainbow Productions is celebrating 11 years in show business and is giving back to patrons, who will receive a special anniversary discount on two main

stage productions each

month for 2008. The special discount is for performances on the third Sunday of themonth at 3 p.m. and the closing Saturday performance at 8 p.m. on the fourth weekend of the month. The New Jersey State Youth Orchestras and the ConcordiaYouth Choraleswill present a joint Youth Arts Festival Saturday, March 8, at the Two River Theater, 21 Bridge Ave. in Red Bank. Concerts will be presented at 3 p.m., NJSYO Preparatory String Orchestra, Intermediate String Orchestra and the CYC Junior Chorale and OperaLab; at 8 p.m., the NJSYO Chamber Players, Senior Youth Orchestra and the CYC Youth Chorale will perform. The evening concert repertory includes the Faure "Requiem" and the American premiere of "Psalm 104" by English composer Anthony Hedges. Tickets are $12 - $75 and are available at the TRT box office at (732) 345-1400.
