Shore gardeners score at N.J. Garden & Flower Show
The Garden Club of New Jersey held a standard flower show, "Entertaining All Around the World," as part of the sixth N.J. Flower & Garden Show at the N.J. Convention & Expo Center in Edison. Renee Waite, of Tinton Falls, chaired the event, which ran Feb. 14-17.

A dazzling array of outstanding horticulture greeted the visitors, sprinkled with informative special exhibits.

A panel of 12 nationally accredited judges from neighboring states judged this formidable show. Over 400 evergreens, luscious succulents and exciting designs created a special ambiance, which echoed the more than 50 class titles. Seventy charming junior gardener designs added interest and showed the creative talents of inspired future gardeners.

Shore-area garden clubs were strongly represented, and several of the top national awards were presented to members of the Navesink Garden Club, including: theArborealAward, Gotti Kelley and Pam Sutton; Designer's Choice Award, Gotti Kelley; and the Garden Club of New Jersey President's Trophy went to the Navesink Garden Club.
