Red Cross gala marks silver anniversary
The American Red Cross will host the Silver Anniversary Gala on April 5 at the Robert B.Meyner Reception Center at PNC Bank Arts Center, Holmdel, at 7 p.m. This year's theme, "Escape to St. Moritz," celebrates the birthplace of the Red Cross in the heart of Switzerland.
The Silver Anniversary Gala will honor five exceptional individuals with the Clara Barton Humanitarian Award. Morgan E. Cline and Benjamin R. D'Onofrio of Middletown are this year's philanthropic honorees, and Arleen and Phil Fina of Middletown are the community honorees. The Junior Humanitarian award will be given toHarsha Ayala, who resides inMarlboro.
Tickets to the Silver Anniversary gala are still available and are $200 per person. The event will include live, silent and chance auctions and a 50/50 raffle. Auction items include special tours of ABC and NBC studios, theNewYork Stock Exchange and signed memorabilia from the hit band Maroon 5, Jon Bon Jovi,Mariah Carey and P Diddy. Support of the Silver Anniversary Gala will help ensure that the Jersey Coast Chapter will be strong enough financially to assist victims of local disasters.
