Francis E. "Frank" Blum

Mr. Blum, 76, of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, died April 5, 2008, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was a sheriff 's officer for the Hudson County Sheriff 's Department for 25 years, retiring in 1993. He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Margaret Dugan Blum in 2004. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Tony Mercantante of the Belford section of Middletown; a son, Frank Blum of Jersey City; a brother, George Blum of Port Monmouth; and two grandchildren. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated April 9 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church, North Middletown. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements are by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
