Seraph runners attain Penn Relays qualifier

      Time was of the essence for Curtis Jensen. He and his Mater Dei teammates were chasing a qualifying mark in the 4x800 meters for the Penn Relays at Saturday's Colts Neck Relays. They needed to run under 8:15 to have a chance of making it to Penn (April 24-26) for the first time in school history.

      After opening the campaign with three straight losses, the Holmdel High School softball team faces four games this week as it looks to rebound. The Hornets opened the season with a 10-0 loss to Red Bank Regional, then dropped 3-1 decisions against both Jackson and Rumson-Fair Haven.
