Geocachers to hold cleanup at park April 19

The Central Jersey Geocachers will work with the Monmouth County Parks Department on Earth Day April 19 from 9 a.m. to noon and clean up a new area of Thompson Park, Newman Springs Road, Lincroft section of Middletown. All cachers and noncachers are invited to join in the cleanup.

Geocaching is an activity where players hide small containers with trinkets and a logbook in the woods, publish the coordinates on a Web page and then other players can seek the cache by using handheld ground positioning system receiver (GPS).
