Holmdel Committee candidates
HOLMDEL - Two seats are up for grabs on the Township Committee in this year's municipal elections. Each seat is for a three-year term.
The Democratic and Republican committees submitted the names of candidates April 7 by the 4 p.m. deadlinemandated by Monmouth County. According to the Monmouth County Clerk of Elections Office, independent candidates have until the day of the primary, June 3 at 4 p.m., to submit their names to the county.
Republican Committeemen Rocco Pascucci and Alan Bateman currently hold the seats that will be up for election this year.
According to the Township Clerk's Office, the Republican Committee has submitted the names of Pascucci, of Yellow Brook Road, and Patrick Impreveduto, of Randall Road, as its candidates.
Pascucci has served on the Township Committee for the past three years.
Deputy Mayor Alan Bateman, a Republican incumbent who is currently finishing his first term on the committee, is not seeking re-election as he pursues a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives currently occupied by Rep. Rush Holt (D-12).
The Democratic Party submitted the names of Michael Sockol, of Wildhedge Lane, and RichardMausner, ofWindswept Road, as the party's candidates for the committee seats.
The five-member Township Committee has a Republican majority, led by Mayor Serena DiMaso, with two Democratic committee members, Janet Berk and Larry Fink.
