FoodBank is recipient of 'Idol Gives Back' funds

The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties has received $12,747 from the "American Idol: Idol Gives Back" campaign. The effort raised approximately $76 million for programs that address the needs of children and young people living in poverty around the world.

The gesture was received weeks before the FoodBank's annual "Humanitarian Dinner Dance" April 25 at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club, Farmingdale. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served from 6-7:30 p.m., and dinner at 8 p.m. Music will be provided by Total Soul Party. There will also be a cash raffle and auction.
