The yearly dinner is held to honor individuals and organizations that share the Salvation Army's vision and mission in our community- building a better tomorrow. This year's theme is "Doing the Most Good."

This year's honorees are: United Teletech Financial, Red Bank; King of Kings Lutheran Church, Middletown; and LoisMcDowell, Keansburg.

"Their strong belief and service to helping children and their families who are less fortunate ismaking a lasting difference in the lives of the peoplewe serve," statedCaptainsDavid andNormaMoore, of The SalvationArmy Red Bank Corps.

The Salvation Army helps thousands of individuals and families in crisis each year in Northern Monmouth County in outreach including Christmas assistance, emergency shelter for the homeless, emergency services to those at risk, disaster relief, after school programming, Hispanic outreach or visitation to shut-ins.

Major Donald E. Berry, New Jersey Divisional Commander, will present United Teletech Financial with the "Others Award." This award is the highest award given in The Salvation Army reviewed and signed by the divisional and territorial commander. It is given to a group or individual that serves its community.

The Red Bank Corps will also present the "Bell Ringer Award" for the first time to King of Kings Lutheran Church which raised the most money ringing bells during the holiday season. Other groups will be recognized as well.

Volunteers are the reason for the success of the programs at The Salvation Army. LoisMcDowell has been volunteering at the after-school programfor nearly five years. She is this year's recipient of the "Volunteer of the Year" award.
