Earth Day cleanup

The Poricy Park Conservancy hosted the second annual Earth Day Cleanup and Celebration on Saturday, April 19. Organized by N.J. Community Water Watch, the cleanup at Poricy Park, Middletown, involved volunteers with the Brookdale Community College and Monmouth University chapters of N.J. Community Water Watch along with members of the Red Bank and Middletown Environmental Commissions. Top: Zach Brown (l-r), Erik Myhrer, Tyler Maxson and Joe Callandrillo were among the volunteers who helped remove debris along Poricy Brook and the Navesink and Swimming Rivers. The cleanup was followed by a community barbecue and live music to celebrate Earth Day.
