The Monmouth University Department of Music and Theatre Arts is presenting Stephen Schwartz's "Children of Eden" through Saturday at 8 p.m. in Pollak Theatre on the West Long Branch campus.

An exhibit of oil paintings by Rumson artist Ross Jahnig is at the Oceanic Library in Rumson. Jewelry created by the mother/daughter team of RobinMilne and Lois Rosenthal is on display in the library's cases. The Oceanic Library is located at 109 Avenue of the Two Rivers. An Earth Day Celebration and Art Exhibit will be heldApril 27 from noon to 5 p.m. at Bayonet Farm, Holmdel's "greenest" secret. Be inspired by artwork created from recycled materials. Listen to the stories and music of American Indian Kenneth Little Hawk. Kids can learn about raptors, ride ponies, make crafts, and have a blast. Free event.

The theme for May at the Art Alliance ofMonmouthCounty gallery inRedBank is "Mom" plus "Children's Art."
There will be an opening reception Saturday, May 3, 6-8 p.m. The show will run through June 4. Elaine Danzig from Little Silver will be the artist featured in the window, where her oils and intricate sculptures will be displayed. The alliance is located at 33 Monmouth St.

Sunday, May 4, at 2 p.m., the Atlantic HighlandsArts Council will present the internationally known Simon String Quartet in the final concert of the 2007-08 season. Violinists Fiona Vanderspar Simon and Jorge Ávila, violist Brett Deubner, and cellist David Bakamjian will be joined by Atlantic Highlands resident Laura DuBois on the piano in works by Mozart, Shostakovich and Dvorak. The concert will be held in the restored historic Central Baptist Church at the corner of Third and East Highland avenues. Tickets are $15, $5 for children age 12 and under. "Jungle Book" is being presented through May 4 at noon at Eatontown Playhouse.
