'Matawan Litter March' downtown May 3

The Matawan Environmental Commission will hold a "Matawan Litter March" May 3 from 9 a.m. to noon beginning at Town Hall, Broad Street (rain date May 4). Volunteers are encouraged to take part and clean the downtown area and parks of unsightly debris.

Residents may drop off leaves and brush at the Dumpster at Matawan Public Works Yard, Public Works Way, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. until May 2 or May 3 from 9 a.m. to noon. Residents must have proof of residency, such as a water bill. Sticks, branches, and other clean yard debris may also be deposited; however, no garbage, household wastes, recyclables, grass clippings or hazardous materials.
