NOTES AROUND TOWN Girl Scout Caroline St. Angelo models a traditional Slovenian bridal hat at a cultural fair for children and their parents. Caroline, of Leonardo, a student at Middletown High School South, and Girl Scout Stephanie Chadwick, of Belford, a senior at Middletown High School North, organized the fair for their Gold Award project. The event included educational displays about different cultures and samplings of the foods of different countries. Not only did the fair meet the goal of teaching people about different cultures, but Caroline and Stephanie said it deepened the connection to their own ethnic roots.
