Aberdeen offers trip for seniors

The Aberdeen Township Recreation Department is offering a senior citizen trip on Wednesday, July 9, to the Renault Winery in Galloway Township and to an Atlantic City casino.

The trip is open to Aberdeen seniors age 55 and older. Nonresidents can sign up after the May 27 resident deadline if space is available.

The cost of the trip is $21 for residents and $26 for nonresidents, and includes a family-style lunch at the winery and transportation.

Buses will depart from the parking lot of Temple Shalom, located on Ayrmont Lane and Church Street, at 8:45 a.m., and from the A&P shopping center on Route 35 in Cliffwood at 9:15 a.m. Buses will return home at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Checks should be made payable to Aberdeen Recreation. Township seniors who are members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Senior Citizen Club are asked to sign up at the club meeting. Nonmembers may sign up at the Recreation Department Office located at theAberdeen Township Municipal Building or through the mail. All trips are nonrefundable.
