Work on Swimming River Rd. worries resident
Recent construction on Swimming River Road in Lincroft has resulted in uneven and cracked patched sections of pavement for about a half mile down Swimming River Road in Lincroft from the intersection at Route 520. This poorly patched section of the road poses a significant risk to cyclists who travel on Swimming River Road. The uneven and cracked surface makes it very difficult to control a bicycle while traveling on the right side of the roadway.

This dangerous roadway condition forces cyclists to ride more toward the center of the road which causes a tenuous situation for motor vehicle traffic to pass.

I understand that construction on Swimming River Road may not yet be complete and that the project is ongoing, but if this dangerous roadway condition remains, even temporarily, it may contribute to a serious accident. Corrective action should be taken to make this section of Swimming River Road safe for all.
