      The Mater Dei High School softball team appears to be firing on all cylinders following its victory over Cardinal McCarrick in the NJSIAA Non- Public South B semifinals. Coach Jeanne Dickinson's team, seeded second, was set to meet top-seeded St Joseph's of Hammonton yesterday in the final.

Seraphs' Amato jumps to state championship
      Mater Dei's Michael Amato struck gold at last weekend's NJSIAA State Non-Public B Championships in South Plainfield. The Seraph senior was the only high jumper in the competition to clear 6-2 giving him the state championship held in South Plainfield.
