Honk!

The Middletown Peer Players, a year-old troupe of young thespians, has formed their own theatrical company and will present their second production, "Honk," a musical play for families about the Ugly Duckling at the Middletown Arts Center for six performances.

Middletown Peer Players includes 18 former and current Middletown South High School students ages 15-20 whose vision is to be an entirely student-run organization that advances their knowledge of theater as an art form and explores the dynamics of collaboration. Performance dates and times are: July 11, 12, 18 and 19 at 8 p.m., and July 13 and 20 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10, students and seniors $5, and may be purchased in advance (Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.) at the Middletown Arts Center, 36 Church St., Middletown, or by calling 732-706-4100.
