Aberdeen Township flu shot clinic Oct. 28
      Aberdeen Township will host a flu immunization clinic at 3-4:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at Aberdeen Town Hall on Church Street. The program conducted by Monmouth County Health Department is open to members of the community age 18 and older. Flu shots are $20.

Safety awareness program begins Oct. 27
      The Hazlet Township Police Department in conjunction with Amato's Karate Academy will host a safety awareness and rape prevention program for women age 16 and older beginning 7 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Cullen Center, 1776 Union Ave. The two-hour sessions will be held Mondays until Dec. 1.

Monmouth Museum trips begin Oct. 21
      Monmouth Museum, Lincroft section of Middletown, will offer a trip to Mohonk Mountain House, New York, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Oct. 21. Cost is $105 for nonmembers, and $100 for members. The cost will include a kitchen tour, lunch, and greenhouse tour.

      New Jersey Rett Syndrome Awareness Day, "Getting Closer to a Cure," will be observed Oct. 21. Locally, the Ride for Rett on Oct. 5 at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft section of Middletown, raised more than $12,000 for Rett syndrome.
