Center announces Nov. blood drives

Central Jersey Blood Center, Shrewsbury, has announced the following local blood drives:

• 5-8:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at St. Catharine's Church, 5 Shore Acres Ave., North Middletown

• 9 am.-1 p.m. Nov. 16 at Work Out World, 1126 Route 35, Middletown

• 5:30-9 p.m. Nov. 18 at Hazlet Fire Company, Holmdel Road

• 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 30 at St. John's United Methodist Church, 2000 Florence Ave., Hazlet

• 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 30 at St. Clement's Church, 172 Freneau Ave., Matawan.

Free T-shirts will be given to each donor. The donation process takes about an hour. Donors must also complete a medical history interview and have a mini-physical (temperature, iron, pulse and blood pressure screening). Interested donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 120 pounds and be in good health. All donors must present signature ID at time of registration.
