Martha Elise Demontreux Kitson

Mrs. Kitson, 92, of Rumson, died Dec. 21, 2008, at home. She had resided in the West Keansburg section of Hazlet, Monmouth Beach, Highlands and Hazlet before relocating to Rumson in 2003 to live with her daughter. She was a parish secretary at St. Mary's Church, Colts Neck, for several years. She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Kitson, in 1993; a son, John J. Kitson, in 2006; a sister, Marguerite Wall; and a brother, Maurice Demontreux. Mrs. Kitson is survived by five daughters and four sons-in-law, Martha Anne and Robert Cicero of Freehold, Rae Ann Kitson of Ocean, Denise and Donald Berberich of Middletown, Suzanne Kitson and Joe Shannon of Fair Haven, and Kathleen Kitson and Dennis Lee of Rumson; a son and daughterin law, Robert and Patricia Kitson of Middletown; two sisters, Lucienne Morel of Houston, Texas, and Claire Moore of Bradley Beach; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at the Church of St. Ann, Keansburg. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
