Library to host programs for kids, families The Matawan-Aberdeen Public Library, 165 Main St., Matawan, will host drop-in crafts 6:30-8:30 p.m. Jan. 21. All ages are welcome. Drop-in storytimes for children age 7 and younger will be held 6:30 p.m. Jan. 29. Book bingo for children age 7 and older will be offered 2:30- 3:30 p.m. Jan. 17. Registration is required. A paper doll program for children ages 3-7 will be held 11 a.m. Jan. 17; registration is required and is limited to Matawan-Aberdeen Library cardholders. "Beading-Bracelet" will be held 7 p.m. Jan. 21. After-school story time for children in grades K-2 will be held 4:15-5 p.m. Jan. 23. A variety of stories about pie will be read to honor National Pie Day. Registration is required, and begins Jan. 16 and is limited to Matawan-Aberdeen Library cardholders. Drop-in family programs will begin at 2 p.m. Jan. 24 with the film "Kung Fu Panda." A Family Game Day will be held 2-4 p.m. Jan. 31. Patrons may bring board games, or use the library's games. "Genealogy 101" will be presented Jan. 26, "Winter Time Tips for Pets and Wildlife" will be held Jan. 28, and "Preparing for Your Move, Now or Later" will be presented Jan. 29, all at 7 p.m. Registration is required for all the above, and all events are free.
