Deadline March 6 to enter poster contest
      Freehold Soil Conservation District and the N.J. Association of Conservation Districts are sponsoring "DIG IT! The Secrets of Soil" 2009 conservation poster contest, with entry deadline March 6. The contest is open to students in grades 2-12 in Middlesex and Monmouth counties.

      MIDDLETOWN — The township Police Traffic Safety Bureau is gearing up to present Rude Awakening 2009, an award-winning alcohol- and drug-awareness program presented each prom season to thousands of teens. New volunteers are always needed to present the daylong program at area high schools.
